For the past week every one has been told to stay inside unless it is absolutely necessary to go out.

Let me assure you that The Old Needle Works Foundation has physically closed its doors to the public but has not closed its doors to you, we are just doing things differently. We are aware of how worrying this time is for people, it’s out of our control which makes a lot of people feel helpless.

There are things we can control and things we can do. We can stay home and stay safe; we can make sure our children and family stay at home; we can make the most of spending time with our families and pets; we can get jobs done around the house and in the garden. We can give ourselves time to breathe, to take notice, to connect with people we haven’t had time to call or email. We can look after ourselves and each other. We can be grateful that we are still healthy and send our love to those that are not.

For those people who are working in hospitals, supermarkets, refuse collection, people making the new hospitals, to our police, volunteers, government… We would like to thank you for everything you are doing to keep our country going and the people of our communities safe.

We are finding ways to continue our support.
